Working Tests for Open, Novice and Novice Dog/Novice Handler on 22 February 2026

IWGDC Novice Dog/Novice Handler, Novice and Open working tests, Sunday 22 Feb, 2026, Gatcombe Mill

The Isle of Wight Gundog Club started the test season for 2026 with ND/NH, Novice and Open tests at Gatcombe Mill, courtesy of the landowners Mr & Mrs Hobart and the Keeper Malcolm Clayton.

Surprisingly, it was wet underfoot, and the rain throughout the morning added to the somewhat damp atmosphere.

Grateful thanks to our judges Ken Green, Niki Urqhaet, Peter Leyden and Ben Starns, stewards, dummy throwers and helpers, who despite the weather workes to make the day run smoothly.

Luckily the rain cleared and we completed the day in the dry.
