Bowiskey Cocker Spaniels - Carol Bowkis
 In 1988 a litter of 10 puppies were born, in this
litter was our first champion. Ch. Bowiskey Boy Blue was a wonderful
black and white dog who stood out from the rest of the litter. He
was a joy to own and proved himself not only in the show ring but in
the field as well. He won his first Challenge Certificate at 8months
old and at Crufts in 1990 he was awarded Best Of Breed. On October
19th 1991 Jamie made special history when he was awarded his Show
Gundog Working Certificate. This made him the first full Champion in
the breed for more than 10 years.
Ch. Bowiskey Island Boy was born in October 1991. A dark blue dog he
went on to win 4 CCs, 6 RCCs and JW including 51 firsts at
Championship shows. He was awarded his working certificate in
October 1992.
Over the last few years we have had to limit our showing and
breeding due to the fact that we now have three children. Although
we still have four dogs at home and I have begun to show a blue
bitch who shows great potential, mainland showing is still not
possible.
We are very proud of our dogs and of what they have achieved over
the past 18 years and we have so many wonderful memories to look
back on, and as for the future who knows!
